DACHSIE: Record entry of Dachsies, 16 kaninchens! Majlis - Ch Manaca's Sophys Rose was BOB and got one more title - Swedish winner-12! She was also qualified for Cruft's and ended the day with a 3:rd place in the group! 31 miniature Dachsies entered and Sture - Ch Manaca's Noble Anthony won a huge championclass and was 2:nd best male with reserve CACIB!

Home again after a trip to England...
The reason for my trip originally was to get Moa home after her time in England as she is now mated and will come home to have her pups (read more at puppynews) and to leave Sophie to her new owner. As the london Cocker show is not far from my friends house where Moa has been living, it seemed like a good idea to enter some dogs too. Exactly 12 days prior to my trip Dagny started her season, and the opportunity was too good not to take her with me for a hot date! From Facebook I also got an extra dog who was to be delivered to England, a nice extra to help with travel expenses.
On our way very early thursday morning. Dogsitter installed and the 6 dogs packed in the car. The drive through Europe went surprisingly easy accompanied by a voicebook so I got all the way to Amsterdam in one day, where I stopped for the night, then only a few hours drive left to Dunkerque from were I was to take the ferry over to Dover. A 2-hour ferry over to a bit cold but sunny England, then only a 40 minute drive to Janes house where I met Moa again after a long time. Up again early saturday morning for London cocker, a show I really like, always friendly and well organized. Judges this year was Jennifer lloyd-carey on males and Arja koskelo from finland on bitches.
Sophie - Manaca's She's Got the Look was in one of the earlier classes and was placed 5:th (VCH) out of 22! Magnus - Ch Manaca's Cutting Corners owned by Sandy Williams won veteranclass, Simon - Ch Manaca's High On the Hog owned by Jane Pop was 3:rd in open class, Roger - Manaca's Luck of the Irish was 4:th in yearling class, Lilly - Ch Wilmerella Manacas Rumours won limit class and got her studbooknumber (lifetime qual. to Cruft's) and Maggie - Ch Manaca's Pull No Punches also won her class and got her studbooknumber!! Kennel Manaca's also had the best breedersgroup under Mrs Betty Rice-Stringer, so we had a very lucky day! Later that night Dagny had her hotdate with a stylish English boy, more about that on puppynews.
Sunday was yet another sunny day so took a walk on the beach with the dogs before we had a 2 hour drive to Harwich for the ferry over to denmark, so on the way back I did'nt have the driving through Europe, which was nice as I was driving on my own. Now with Moa in the car instead of Sophie and the dog I delivered to England. Now lets just keep our fingers crossed that Moa and dagny has taken so the trip was'nt invane...
Back home my dogsitter had a bit of drama... 9 weeks ago we had our first unplanned mating (can't think of the English word for it..) ...! This is the first time it has happened to me after 24 years of breeding! Vicky, who had'nt shown at all that she was on heat, and none of the other boys showed any interest at all, suddenly got mated and tied in the garden when me and my friend was out there beside them! After the first chock I thought the combination was quite interesting so just in case I went and got her eyes checked. But then she did'nt show any signs of pregnancy so I thought she was empty. In fact, I looked at her only a week earlier and thought she was looking so good so started looking for shows for her! Luckily I had an experienced dogsitter booked in and told her to keep an eye on her just in case. On the sunday morning she still did'nt show any signs of either pregnancy or delivery... ate her breakfast with good apetite, went out and played for some hours, went in at 11 and got her biscuit, and then started her delivery of her 2 black girls!!! all done after 2 hours and babys and mother are just fine! I have never experienced anything like it, just goes to show that every day learns something new.
So it was really exciting coming home to see the new miracles, a couple of babies who have been determined to be in this world, wonder what the future has in store for them..? Read more about them on puppynews.

Despite the awful weather with rain and wind we had alovely day with topresults and meeting of lots of friends. As we were so cold after the breeds were done we decided to skip the finals and go home. We packed the car and started driving but after about 15-20 minutes we started to change our minds... with 3 dogs made BOB in the car we just had to stay for the finals, so we turned back, and that proved to be a wise decision....Int. show in Avesta june 16. Happy news from England...
When we went to Cruft's we also had Moa - Manaca's Dreamin the Dream with us and she stayed on over there. She's suppose to stay there for awhile and go to some shows and then hopefully come back pregnant with an interesting male :-) So aftyer some social training and and a few ringtriningclasses she had her showdebut which she passed very well indeed! This was at an All breed open show and she was BOB & BOG-4!! How about that for a start!? Well done Jane & Moa!In Belgium... >>>
Odin - Manaca's Up In the Sky (From Rebecka and Alfreds latest litter) has already made his debut in the showring. At Belgiums spanielclubs "Youth and veteran day" little Odin was best spaniel baby!! congrats Sarah!Meanwhile at home Lena had her puppies, a litter of 9! Proud father is our PaddyMan. Lena got in her mother role at once and she's taking care of her babies in the best of ways. We have 4 black males, 2 red males, 2 red bitches and 1 black bitch.

After a fantastic 2011 (summary coming up..) we are in the year 2012 and it has started with our first show of the year and lots of great news from around the world... first a message from Hannah and Levi in Singapore who are celebrating new years and are entering the year of the dragon.
