Since we have'nt had any internetconnection for a month, after the move, we have alot of news a once. Some will come at "Thoughts" soon also...
Let's start with the Stockholm show.
Stora Stockholm, december 12. Dog judge: Mr Mikael Tranholm, bitches & BOB: Mrs Kari Haave
Johnny - Charbonnel Manacas Design won a big juniorclass and was qualified for Cruft's!
Markus - Manaca's Moves Mountains was 3:rd with HP in the same class.
Both Folke and Otto were entered but unfortunately I did'nt find the time to get them ready in time...
But Colin - Ch Manaca's Beat About the Bush held the flag high by winning the championclass and becoming best dog. He was also qualified for Cruft's, for the 3:rd year in a row! Colin also had the winning progenýgroup wich was placed second in the BIS final!! huge congrats Yvette & Desirée!
2:nd best dog and the Swedish championtitle was taken by Solveigs latest "boyfriend" - Ch Corralet Indian Savage (we are expecting puppies by them around January 10). congrats Nina!
Maggie - Manaca's Pull No Punches was in juniorclass for the first time and behaved very well. She was placed 3:rd with HP.
Vanja - Manaca's It's All In the Name came in second in youthclass with CK.
Manaca's had the BOB winning breedersgroup, but unfortunately we could'nt stay for the finals this day...

Sven - Manaca's Needs No Introduction won the juniorclass and thereby gained the title Finnish juniorwinner-08!! congrats Satu & Liisa!

Happy news from England...
Sonjas - Ch Manaca's Undesigned Dreams kids, Desi and LittleSonja keeps on having success in the showrings in England. LittleSonja who recently gained her first reserveCC has also gained her junior warrant title aswell as 2 x reserve BEST IN SHOW! Desi who keeps on winning his classes topped with a BEST IN SHOW win last weekend!! I'm doing a page of Sonjas English family with photos, coming up soon... ;-)

I had the same gang with me as to Mjölby last weekend. We went there the night before and spent a relaxing night at the cityhotel (recommendable. Luxury, doggyfriendly and price worthy..)
Johnny - Charbonnel Manacas Design won the juniorclass and was 4:th best dog again, but this time with the CAC!!
Folke - Ch Manaca's Gets Ideas Going was 4:th in championclass
Vanja - Manaca's It's All In the Name came in 2:nd in youthclass with CK. She is in heat and was very tired....

The drive home took me over 5 hours instead of 3 as there was a huge trafficjam.. one side of the motorway was closed due to roadwork but I never saw any work done (or any workmen when I think of it..), only the cones that devided the road... maybe just a Halloweenprank !? ;o)

Happy news from Norway... Magnus (M. Cutting Corners) brother Kim - Ch Manaca's Coat of Coloured Arms, who recently gained his championtitle, now went all the way to the top and became BIS !! Judge was Mr Per Iversen, hugh congratulations to owner Tove Aase!!

In England Sonjas daughter "LittleSonja" - Charbonnel Dream Design got her first reserve CC, and from puppyclass!! How big is that!? At the same show her brother Desi - Charbonnel Swedish Design Best puppy and secured his lead of Cockerpuppy of the year !
At the same show also Liliann - IrJunCh Manaca's Laid Out in Lavender at Wilmerella (puh... she's got such a long name now...) won a hugh juniorclass!!
Many congrats to both Sandy's, I'm soo proud!!

Clubshow weekend september 20-21 at Kolmården
Swedish Cockerclub Clubshow and 30´th anniversary... new showground wich, in my taste, was'nt the best. The good part was that the was a roof over the show area, wich would have been great if it had rained... but impossible for all spectators to watch with only one side available, and a slippery noisy wooden floor for the dogs to run on. There were no sale of coffee or sandwiches and not all who wanted were offered place at the anniversary dinner in the evening ;o( So the ones left out had to find their own way of food. The cabins on the other side, where of high quality and good price as promised. Now "our gang" had a great time with a barbecue, good drinks and lots of laughs and we planned to join the anniversary later, but when we got there everybody already left. Maybe it was because of the long showday and another one the day after that made the most decide to make an early night. Anyway... to our showresults...
Saturday, Swedish Cockerclub Clubshow. Judges, puppies: Mr Rodney Wyatt, dogs: Mrs Sally Wyatt, bitches: Mrs Leslie Spencer
Ingrid -Manaca's Rags to Riches was at a show for the first time. Unfortunately she got stagefright so she would'nt move so no plecement. Also her kennelsister Maggie - Manaca's Pull No Punches got stagefright at her showdebut but was still placed as reserve! Her littersister Tintin - Manaca's Pleased as Punsch went all the way to the top and was BIS puppy, congrats Katarina! In puppyclass I we congratulate Ottos son, Petra Junehalls Dragongårdens Sunny Side of the Road who was BPD, so there was a lot of Ottos babies in top. Both Maggie and Tintin are also by Otto ;-)
Folke - Ch Manaca's Gets Ideas Going did'nt get placed. Colin - Ch Manaca's Beat About the Bush was 4:th in champion. Helmer - Manaca's Fellow Feeling was 4:th in open with CK. He is owned by Carina Olsson but was handled this day by Karoline Djerf.
Our bitches were luckier this day. Vanja - Manaca's It's All In the Name came in second in youngsterclass and was 3:rd best bitch. Ines - Manaca's Join the Joyride came in 3:rd in youngster with CK. Sunday, Cockerclub open show. Judges, dogs: Mrs Leslie Spencer, bitches: Mrs Sally Wyatt
Both Ingrids oand Maggies stagefright had disappeared during the night! Ingrid got a 3:rd place with HP in puppyclass I and Maggie won her class and was BPB! She was also the judges choice of best puppybitch and got a special price for that!
Folke was second in championand was in the final cut in best male. Colin - Ch Manaca's Beat About the Bush won the championclass and was 2:nd best male, this day handled by Maria Skinner.
Vanja - Manaca's It's All In the Name won the youngsterclass and was best bitch and BIS!! Ines - Manaca's Join the Joyride was 3:rd again with HP. Sonja was second in champion and 3:rd best bitch. Kennel Manaca's had again the BIS winning breedersgroup, this time with other dogs than the day before!

At Sofiero Int. the litter siblings Marcus - Manaca's Moves Mountains and Gucci - Manaca's Music To My Ears did reallty well. Marcus was second in a huge juniorclass of 17 with CK! and Gucci won amongst the bitches in a class of 12, also with CK. Judge was Christian Stefanescu

More happy news... Melody - Manaca's Makes Me Smile has become Swedish tracking champion!! In only a few weeks she gained her championtitle! Huge congratulations Sandra and Melody!!

On august 31 in Gustavsberg gundogshow Cindy - Manaca's Rhyme and Reason was BOB puppy & BIS-reserve! Judge was Mr Morgan Granander.

Her brother, little Timmy - Manaca's Rough and Ready who moved to Denmark, at the same time made his showdebut at Gold Cup in Danmark and was first day second in his class and the second day he went to the finals where he was best babydog! Well done to Steen and Kristine Haendler!!

The weekend of august 30-31 was spent in beautiful Gotland...
... together with Karoline Djerf from kennel Honeywater's, 6 dogs and a caravan we had a very nice camping vacation, with the caravan only a few meters from the sea. This show usually is held in the beginning of July and we clearly could feel the difference of almost 2 months. Sometimes we had freezing winds mixed with sun and warmth.
On the saturday the judge was Ann-Christin Johansson and first in the ring was Poppy - Manaca's Oops an Orange who became BOB puppy. Folke - Ch Manaca's Gets Ideas Going was second best male. For the first time we had Joyce out, who is'nt yet in full coat but needs to come out and socialize aswell. She acted excellent in the ring and was placed second with HP. Vanja - Manaca's It's All In the Name won the youthclass and was best bitch with the CAC!
On sunday our judge was Ann Carlstrom and the results was about the same as the day before. Poppy BOB puppy again, Folke second best male again, now with the reserve CACIB also, Joyce won the juniorclass with HP and Vanja BOS again with CAC & CACIB!!

His littersister Melody - Manaca's Makes You Smile is proving herself in the woods. She is owned by Sandra at kennel Lövhögens and has, in only 1 weeks time passed her abilitytest in tracking and also got 2 first prizes in openclass!! Way to go Sandra & Melody!!

Swiss Spaniel Clubshow, Wangen. august 24. Judge: Mr V. Kardos
Manaca's Artist at Plainfire's got excellent, CAC and was best particoloured bitch!!! Her daughter Plainfire's All or Nothing won the juniorclass and got the juniorCAC! Huge congrats to the Gruber family!!

And at circuit in Ireland...
Liliann - Manaca's Laid Out in Lavender has been unbeaten in juniorclass, got 1 CC and 3 reserve CC's. By this she has gained all her points and can now add the title Irish juniorchampion to her name!! Huge congrats Sandy W!!

Not to forget...
In England, Sonjas son Desi - Charbonnel Swedish Design had so much success that he already has gained all his points to his JW title, Wich means that he is qualified to Cruft's for life!! Well done and gratulations Sandy!

This day we only had Magnus - Manaca's Cutting Corners och Vanja - Manaca's It's All In the Name, wich showed to be a very lucky choice of dogs! Magnus won the open class and was best male with the CAC wich made him SWedish showchampion, our third showchampion this year alone!!! 3:rd best male was Colin - Ch Manaca's Beat About the Bush and reserve best male was Diesel - Manaca's It's In his Kiss.
Vanja won the youthclass again and was best bitch with the CAC, this was her 5:th CAC! In the competition of BOB & BOS it was Magnus's turn to be in top, he was BOB this day, a great way to crown his new title!
Kennel Manaca's also had the BOB winning breedersgroup!

Int. show in Nykoping august 17. Judge: Ms Monica Dreijer
Today we only had Folke and Vanja. Folke - Ch Manaca's Gets Ideas Going was 3:rd best male, Colin - Ch Manaca's Beat About the Bush was 2:nd best male. Vanja came in second in youthclass with CK but was'nt placed in best bitch.

August 9-10, a relaxing weekend at Manaca's, awaiting puppies...
... we are waiting for Gunsan to have her pups (while I'm writing 2 has come, 1 blue girl and 1 orange male), and meantime I'm getting happy reports about Manaca's Cockers holding the flag high in the showrings.
Anna Spåmans-Andersson is back, after a long brake, in the rings with her Zazza - Manaca's Abstract Art wich was rewarded at Askersunds International on saturday with second best bitch with CAC and reserve CACIB >>>, Congratulations Anna!! Judge was Mrs Ann Carlström.
This was a kind of a co-incidence as Zazzas mothers fullsister Greta - Ch M. Main Attraction was mated to Zazzas father Nemo - Ch M. General Idea (se more here), so at least pedigreewise we are hopefully getting new little "Zazzas"!

In Ronneby on sunday was Marcus - Manaca's Moves Mountains reserve best male, congrats Mia! and Tilda - Manaca's Out of Hand was BOB puppy! Huge congratulations Anette and Ehlin! >>>

Vanja - Manaca'sIt's All In the Name won the youthclass and was second best bitch with the CAC, her 4:th from 5 tryes!
Since it was the hottest day of the year we let the dogs go for a swin in the lake nearby afterwards. Oh, how they enjoyed !!

On the sunday we should have been on a gindog show in Hogbo, but as Emma decided to have her puppies during the night we stayed at home instead, see the puppypage here. So instead we had a pleasant day in the garden with all the dogs enjoying themselves in the dogpool we've just got, see photos from the day here.

Bjorn - Manaca's Mark My Words, who has only been out in the showring once before, was BOB puppy! He did'nt want to do worse than his litterbrothers so he was also placed in the BIS final, as BIS-2!! The fact that the rain was pouring down did'nt set him down one bit, he showed off like never before and loved the attention! >>
Folke - Ch Manaca's Gets Ideas going was for the first time in championclass wich he won and was best male with CACIB!
Ines - Manaca's Join the Joyride won the juniorclass and was 4:th best bitch, congrats Gittan!
Vanja - Manaca's It's All In the Name won the youthclass and was best bitch with CAC. Then she went and beat Folke and was made BOB with CACIB! She was in the final cut in the group but was'nt placed.
Manaca's had the BOB winning breedersgroup wich was placed as reserve in the BIS finals wich does'nt happen often with a group of mixed colours, so we are very proud of that!
It litterarly poured down in every final I was in, but after awhile I did'nt mind the rain... when I was in the groupfinal we were all solking wet through, and the dogs looked like they came out of the shower, but it was the same for all, so never mind...!!!

We would also send a huge congratulation to Helmer - Manaca's Fellow Feeling with owner Carina Olsson who got a first prize with HP first time out in openclass in tracking on July 22:nd!

Another fantastic weekend with great results, and I did'nt even have to leave home...

This was truly a smashing ending of their puppycarreer to the litter brothers and sister from the MM litter!!

and Liliann - Manaca's Laid out in Lavender got VHC wich means 5:th in the class, well done Sandy!

Of course I already knew that Walter was the most beautiful in the world, but now we have it in writing too ;-))

In Hasslarp (Gundogshow, jdges: Bertil Lundgren & Rose-Mary Wild) Gucci - Manaca's Music To My Ears was BOB & BIS puppy! Congrats Carita!!

...and Manaca's has it's first Norwegian Trackingchampion!!
The very skillful Monty - Manaca's Zero Hour with his owner Lena Hildeby made this happen near Oslo, despite a tough track in dry ground. So now Monty is'nt only a Swedish tracking champion, but also a norwegian!! At Manaca's we are sooo proud of you both!!

Kennel Manaca's had the BOB winning breedersgroup, consisting 2 blacks and 2 blue roans.
Many congratulations to Desireé Widenor who did'nt only get BOB veteran with Arnie - Ch Quettadene Lancelot, but also got in 4:th place in juniorhandling finals and by that getting qualified to the grand finale at Stockholm in December!!

Rebecka - Ch Très Coquette vom Schloss Hellenstein was out first time after her litter of 6 and was for the first (and only) time in openclass as she got her last CAC for the title and was best bitch! So now she is, besides a tracking champion, also a Swedish show champion!!

It was cold and rainy on the first outdoorshw of the year... but we had a nice day out amongst good friends anyway!
Today Poppy - Manaca's Oops An Orange was out for the first time and she discovered after a while that it was quite fun out in the world. She was BOB in minorpuppy and then BIS reserve!! a nice debut I might say...!!
Johnny - Charbonnel Manacas Design thought as usual that it was great fun in the ring and was Best puppy dog!!
Folke - Manaca's Gets Ideas Going won the youthclass and was 2:nd best male with CAC! his 7:th I think...
Colin - Manaca's Beat About the Bush was best male, BOB and ended up as BIS-2! Congrats Yvette!!
Arnie - Quettadene Lancelot was BOB veteran and BIS 3 in the veteran final! Congrats Desireé!!

She missed Welks but made up for it in grand style by going straight to the top from juniorclass - BOB and CC at an International all breed show in Ireland may 3:rd. 60 Cockers entered.

In Sweden...
At Sollefteå national show Ola - Manaca's Let there Be Light won the juniorclass again and was 3:rd best male under Mr Jukka Kuusisto. Congratulations to Nina Eriksson!

And we spent the day in the woods wich resulted in one more trackingchampion!! Kerstin - Manaca's Each and Every Day gained her last first prize for the title after very hard work in dry ground. Well done Kerstin!!

Tony, and Sonjas babies made their showdebut in England!!
Tony came in second in a huge Puppyclass (16 entr) and Desi - Sonjas son won Minor puppyclass!! This means that they are both qualified for Cruft's at their first show!! What a superstart. Sonjas daughter "LittleSonja" came in 4:th in Minor puppy amongst 18 entr.! Well done Sandy!!

Ragnar - Ch Almanza Hit the Road Jack was BOB with CC wich made him Norwegian showchampion!!
Ola - Manaca's Let There Be Light was for the first time in juniorclass wich he won and was 4:th best male! Congrats Nina!

How up and down it can be in the showworld... one week Sonja is Cocker of Cockers and the next not even worth a CK. And in Uddevalla it was a big difference in judging from day to day, I guess that's the fascination of showing...
Johnny - Charbonnel Manacas Design was BOB puppy both days, and BIS-4 on saturday and BIS 5 on sunday!!
Tony - Manaca's Learn Lifes Ropes got a second in quality on saturday and was placed 4:th on sunday in juniorclass
Folke - Manaca's Gets Ideas Going was 4:th in youthclass on saturday and second with CK on sunday.
Liliann - Manaca's Lad Out in Lavender came in 3:rd in juniorclass both days one day with HP and one day with CK. Manaca's Undesingned Dream was second in championclass and second best bitch on saturday and on sunday 3:rd in the class without CK.
