Huge congrats to Helmer - Manaca's Fellow Feeling who has been used in hunting and field trial now went out for his official title and got trackingchampion!! Well done to his owner Carina olsson!and on the monday of november 21 I was out tracking with Alfred - Ch Manaca's Walk On the Wild Side who got his third 1:st price and can now add the title trackingchampion to his previous titles!

Herning, Denmark...
With 6 dogs packed in the car we headed for Herning, Danmark. 4 Cockers and 2 Dachsies. First day was an international show and second international and Danish winnershow. First out on saturday was the Dachsies judged by Gitte Finnich Pedersen. Sture - Ch Manaca's Noble Anthony got his first very good, this because of a detail that also his sister Majlis - Ch Manaca's Sophys Rose got on her critique but trangely enough she got excellent and was second best bitch with CACIB!!!
Then on to the Cockers and this day was Ingrid - Ch Manaca's Rags to Riches and Paddy - Charbonnel War Paint. Sadly Paddy had to sit this one out as he got something in his paw and was seriously lame.... Ingrid won the championclass and then had to run several laps against the young bitch and then entered up as 2:nd best bitch with reserve CAC and res. CACIB! BOB puppy was Joy - Manaca's Behind the Mask who lives in Denmark and is owned by Helle Bakker, congrats Helle! Cockers were judges by Tarja Hovila from Finland.
POn the sunday the Dachsies was first out again. Judge this day was Waltraut Finnern who wanted a natural showing of the dogs and lots of movement, which suits both of them really well as the love to move and stacks nicely by them self when stopped. Majlis was best bitch with CAC & CACIB and ended up as BOB and thereby gained the title Danish winner 2011!! Sture was 2:nd best male with CAC, but since the winning male is already an international champion I guess we will get the CACIB sent out to us afterwards!
Cockers were judges by Swedish Dan Ericsson this day and I had Vanja - Ch Manaca's It's All In the Name and Folke - Ch Manaca's Gets Ideas Going entered, they have'nt been out in a very long time. They both got the same results, Folke 2:nd best male with reserve CAC & res. CACIB and Vanja 2:nd best bitch with reserve CAC & res. CACIB. A result to be happy abpout but just a bit annoying when they were both sooo close to both Danish champion title aAND Danish winnertitle... Ah well, both Vanja and Folke loved to be out again so they had fun!
No placeing for Majlis in the group and then we had some serious driving to do in order to get to the ferry over to Sweden in time - we did it! 3 hours relaxing on the ferry and then 5 hours of nightdriving, puhhh..... but the cramps in my stomach area shows we had lots of laughs and fun anyway!!!!

A nervous morning as it was time for the Dachsies final measuring as they've turned 15 months old. It went as we wanted and Majlis was measured as a kaninchen and Sture as a miniature, so now they will only compete as that and never have to meet and compete against each other even though they are litter brother and sister! After this we enjoyed a lovely day with good friends and nice weather.

Yet another day at slippery floors and a tiny ring despite lots of unused
space all around. Otherwise a very nice day with friendly athmosphere around the
ring.

The Dachsies were in a footballhall with artificial grass which was super,
while the Cockers had to run around on a very slippery floor in another hall
with just a tiny mat in the middle of the ring. Wonder how long we have to
accept this even when the entryfees are rising...? Luckily I only had one Cocker
entered this day.

It's always nerve wrecking to send a puppy on a journey like this but everything went so smoothly and hannah came out of her box stretching as after a good sleep and wagging her tail!! This is just the way shows should be like! Show was held in a warm
sportshall with rubbermats for the dogs so they would'nt fall on slippery floors,
overfilled pricetable and a lovely atmosphere both in and around the ring . On
top of that a very symphatich judge who wrote very nice critiques which made
every one feel like a winner! I had 4 dogs with me this day and they all did
really well!
Johnny - Ch Charbonnel Manacas Design who has'nt been out in a very long
time won the championclass and was best male and BOS!!!
Lena - Manaca's Like It Or Not won the juniorclass and was 2:nd best
bitch and BIS junior!
Sanna - Manaca's Shifting Sands who is a master in stealing food and is a
bit round at the moment was on her first indoorshow and behaved very well, she
came in as 3:rd in open class with HP!

I have also been to a show in Norway, Bo International...
which I'd rather just forget about, it proved to be the worst nightmare trips I've ever been to... after 8 hours driving, at the hotel I got the most terrible stomach flu I ever had. Spent all night at the toilet and the normally delicious hotel breakfast was'nt even thinkable. Stumbled around at the show after getting some pills from good friends so I could stand on my feet. On top of that we had a change of judge to Mrs Saija Juutilainen, and she did'nt like my boys much but Maggie - Ch Manaca's Pull No Punches won a huge championclass and was 2:nd best bitch with reserve CAC and CACIB! Then an 8 hour drive back again, holding bags to throw up in, by the stearing wheel in case I should'nt be able to stop in time... Oh, just guess how good it felt to get in my own bed after a trip like that!

Ingela - Manaca's Strawberry Fields got very good... and here I got very irritated at the judge, I have never earlier answered against a judge while judging but if he wants to measure my dog he has to do it correctly! Not with the measuringstick leaning back, placed way down the back and with the dog leaning backwards, he measured her to 33 cm's!!! This bitch is of the same height as Lena who got excellent and CK at the same show!? The least one can ask for is a fair critique, after all we do pay lots of money for this....
